Activity Lecture Notes and Guidelines for Redi-Reader App

The AAFP LearningLink Activity Lecture Notes and Guidelines are available on the Redi-Reader application, with links for easy browsing. Please note that Redi-Reader is an iPhone™-only application. Follow the instructions below to install the Redi-Reader app on your device and download the LearningLink activity files. Plus, get some tips for categorizing the Lecture Notes and Guidelines.

Note: Users who have already purchased iSilo™  do not need to download the Redi-Reader application in order to view the Lecture Notes and Guidelines. If you have iSilo for Blackberry or Droid, you can also access these same files. Simply follow the instructions below under the heading "To download documents to the Redi-Reader application". After selecting "Download New Content", type the following address in the browser address line at the top of the screen: http://www.redi-reference.com/iphone.htm. Finally, select the files that you would like to download.

Choose one of the following methods to install the Redi-Reader application to your iPhone™, iPod touch™ or iPad™:

  • Install directly from the device.
  • Install via your computer and sync to your device.

To install from your device (iPhone™, iPod touch™, iPad™):

  • Go to the App store on your device.
  • Type in the search term "Redi-Reader."
  • Download the Redi-Reader app.

To install from your computer:

  • Download iTunes (unless you already have the program on your computer).
  • Open iTunes and go to the iTunes App Store.
  • Type in the search term "Redi-Reader."
  • Download the Redi-Reader app to iTunes™.
  • Sync the Redi-Reader app to your iPhone™, iPod touch™ or iPad™.

To download documents to the Redi-Reader application:

  • Open the Redi-Reader app on your device.
  • In the upper right-hand area of the screen, select the "More" icon represented by three dots ("•••") to open the list menu.
  • Select "Download New Content."
  • Select "Learning Link" from the drop-down menu.
  • Select your desired LearningLink activity, and then select "Save" in the upper right-hand corner.

Tips:

To create a category for all the LearningLink Point-of-Care tools:

  • Tap the file icon of a downloaded file. A pop-up menu will appear.
  • Select "Categories" from the pop-up menu. A list of categories will appear.
  • Tap "New" in the upper right-hand area of the screen, and give the new category a name (e.g., LearningLink).
  • Tap "Done" in the lower right-hand area of the screen. 

To put a file in a category:

  • Access your file list by tapping "Device" in the lower area of the screen.
  • Tap the file icon. A pop-up menu will appear.
  • Select "Categories" from the pop-up menu and check the Categories in which you would like the file to appear.
